Major Walking Routes
🌊 Raad ny Foillan
The "Road of the Gull" — 100-mile coastal footpath around the entire island. Stunning cliffs, beaches and wildlife. 5-7 days to complete.
⛰️ Millennium Way
28-mile north-south trail from Ramsey to Castletown, following ancient Viking routes and Royal highways.
🏔️ Snaefell Summit
At 2,036ft, the only mountain on the island. On a clear day you can see England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland simultaneously.
🏰 Heritage Trail
Castletown to Douglas following the old railway line. Flat, family-friendly, great for cycling too.
🦅 Calf of Man
Short boat trip from Port Erin to this uninhabited island — bird observatory, seals, and raw nature.
Cycling
- Road cycling: Quiet roads, stunning scenery, challenging hills. The TT course is popular with road cyclists.
- Mountain biking: South Barrule, Archallagan plantation, Slieau Whallian — excellent forest trails.
- E-bikes: Available for hire from several outlets in Douglas and the south.
- End to End: Annual mass-participation bike ride from Point of Ayre to the Sound.
